We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe, respected, and valued. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do, from football and creative arts to media and music projects.

Our Principles

  • The welfare of children and young people is our top priority.

  • All children, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, or identity, have the right to equal protection from harm.

  • Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone involved in Blueprint Plaza, including staff, volunteers, and trustees.

  • We work in partnership with children, young people, their families, and other agencies to promote a safe environment.

Safeguarding Leads

To ensure safeguarding is managed effectively, Blueprint Plaza has identified the following safeguarding leads:

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Project Coordinator

  • Deputy Safeguarding Lead: Youth Worker

What We Do

  • Carry out background checks (DBS) and safeguarding training for all staff and volunteers.

  • Provide clear codes of conduct for staff, volunteers, and participants.

  • Ensure that activities are risk assessed and delivered in safe environments.

  • Encourage young people to speak out if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns, following statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.

Raising a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern relating to a child, young person, or vulnerable adult at Blueprint Plaza, please speak to one of our Safeguarding Leads. Concerns will be taken seriously and dealt with in confidence, following our safeguarding procedures.

Review
